Radio ad overlooks golden age of floors

These days, most floors require human labor to be cleaned.

You cannot trust advertisements.

One of them said, “As long as there have been floors, there have been accidents, spills and the need to clean them up.”

How was that confirmed?  There was no citation, no reference.

Have they not read Samuel Johnson’s Complete Historical Account of Floors?  Even the abridged version?

Johnson makes the truth abundantly clear:

“During the golden age of floors, neither spills nor accidents were a phenomenon.  Errant food, drink and condiment saw not the surface of floors but the assembling arms of cherubs.”

Where are their fact-checkers?

The whole ad is an insult to the cherubs and everyone else who made the golden age possible.

Is there nothing they will not say?

Shame.
